Just take a look at Gouki/Akuma's face ! It looks as it it's been pasted on afterwards and a very wobbly paste at that.

might have to make a recording of it when i use uae
dunno if someone else has already mentioned this, but uae has recordings of the disk drive sounds included!
it's a bit lame coming from the speakers, but it really makes it feel that much more authentic

One very good reason for the CD32's existence...

                    Speedball II.

                    'nuff said really.

OK, maybe not quite enough. It should be pointed out that via an SX-1 system (or similar) you could pump up your CD32 to run Amiga 1200 software, with a 68030 and a good amount of RAM. You could even use the Akiko chip (which, BTW, converted chunky display mode - or byte-per-pixel mode - into the planar mode the AGA chipset wanted) to get better frame rates on Doom, or even to emulate a Macintosh better.
Simon the Sorceror is also a good reason, I think Xenon II Megablast you could also run because of its CDTV compatibility, but I'm not sure on that.

There are some great games out there and you can get them VERY cheap.

                    I like my CD32.

Man i loved this unit and Amiga generally, i grew up with it around Mega Drive and SNES but for some reason i always came back to the good ole Amiga especially the CD32, my m8's have all slagged me off for it but i stuck by it to the bitter end.
I have got every issue of CD32 Gamer with ALL the demo discs which i still played, left the bugger in glasgow though when i moved house BUT i will be bringing it back with me as i had ****loadsa games with it.

                      My CD32 Faves were..

Benefactor, Simon The Sorceror, Beneath A Steel Sky, Banshee, Alien Breed Series (Tower Assault especially), Project X, Super Methane Bros (bubble bobble clone), Arcade Pool (Martyn Brown you cheesy bugger), ATR, D-Generation, Darkseed (BLOODY CLASSIC), Heimdall 2, Jet Strike, Liberation - Captive 2, Litil Divil, Pinball Fantasies/Illusions, Speris Legacy (zelda rip off by team 17) and the classic SuperFrog.

Lot of them came out on Amiga 600/1200 but i always got the on CD32 version.
Good wee machine that i fondly remember.

                        There's a CD32 version of Darkseed? Bonus.

I had one of these. It cost something like ?250 or ?300 from Tandy's if I remember correctly?

I tried for ages to get to grips with Liberation, but just did not like or get that game. However Pinball Fantasies and in particular the 'ghost' table (can't remember the name) kept me amused for ages.

I'm not sure but it might be the only version that has speech? From what little I heard from it though the acting sucked pretty baddly. Compared to the PC version the graphics aren't that good. I think the PC version ran at 640x480 with 16 colors. The CD32 version uses a lower resolution.

I remember it looking pretty good on my A500 and it ran in a higher-than-standard res for the Amiga (can't remember what though). Some interlaced mode?

Does the Saturn port have speech?
