    Arcade games that never were

The first time I played Parasol Stars on a PC Engine, I didn't realise it wasn't an arcade conversion. It struck me as odd when I found out, as it would have gone down a bomb, I'm sure. Other games that never made it to the arcade, but perhaps should have:

Frogger II: Threedeep (C64, Colecovison, Atari 2600 etc - Parker Bros)
    Yie Ar kung-Fu 2 (MSX - Konami)
Athletic Land (MSX - Konami) - very basic, but I love this game. Like an alternative to Pitfall.
Dropzone (C64, Atari 800 - Archer McLean) - reportedly an arcade prototype of this exists and is owned by Archer himself. Shame it never made it out.

Apologies if I'm wrong about any of these. Any more games that didn't make it to the arcade?

I don't know if this counts, but Treasure was developing a racer with hampster's in it. The few screen shots that came out at the time were cool looking. I belive it was running on Naomi hardware. It got canned.

on a similar note, but not really. Thunderforce three is the only game (I think) that originally appeared on console (MD) and was later released on arcade.

Lode Runner (Apple II, Vic20, C64) - turned to several coin-ops by Irem
Choplifter (just about every format) - turned to a coin-op by Sega

        Curiously enough, both Broderbund games.

I know this is a bit off topic, but its really weird that Capcom never released a true arcade sequel to Final Fight.

Boulderdash made it to the arcades too. Then there was the NES/Playchoice stuff.

Who needs a sequel when we have Captain Commando?

Yeah, Captain Commando rocks big time, but FF2 arcade would of been nice.

And then re-released on Saturn as ThunderForce AC (along with TF4) in the TF Gold pack 2.
