    Driver

Been bored tonight, playing through my old consoles. Forgot I had this, stuck it on, what a legendary game.

The handling is great, the framerate is not how I remember it, the levels are bland and have samey objectives but yet I love it. Crashing and replaying, out manouvering the cops make this lots of fun. The bonus games are brilliant as well and very re-playable trying to out-do you previous time or score - loving this game, though it does get wickedly difficult towards the end.

Now I haven't played Driver 2 or even Driv3r, is it worth picking these up, are they as good as the original, I know Driv3r got panned but what's 2 like and Stuntman (Developed by the same people I believe).

      weird question, but.....

did anyone ever go on take a ride (free ride) and position the camera in the center of the bridge in the 1st level?

it was great!, you go fishing for police then let them chase you back and forth over the bridge, with the camera in hollywood movie mode!

      btw

driver 2 was disappointing (mainly the graphics), driv3r was a even bigger let down, but both are worth playing/buying cheap!

Driver was a serously big hit back in 99. All my casual gaming mates wiped the dust off their neglected PS1's and went mental over this fantastic title.

For it's time it was a revelation: The graphics and physics really broke new ground and the gripping well thought-out gameplay really kept gamers enthralled in the world of crooks and cops.

It's a shame that no2 tarnished the series image and no3 destroyed it, but there is still hope that Reflections can learn from their mistakes. GTA could be seen as a rival product, and in many ways it is, but Driver is all about the cars and outwitting the cops etc...

Brilliant game overall and I bought the pc version for 50p recently- runs, looks and plays well still!
