    sf3 emu

ok so i wanna get into this emulation lark and have the rom of sf3 but what emulator (if there is one?) would play it? cheers

Go buy SF3 in the shops. You have got the DC, PS2 or xbox versions (with the xbox vrsion featuring excellent Live compatibility) to choose from.

    "Emulating" SF3 is just piracy.

Soi's right, but this place will tell you all you need to know about MAME

CPS-3 hardware has yet to be emulated as no one has cracked the encryption on the board.

Wonder if they will get it licked in the end, we need Red Earth emulated.

i think he has the sfa3 rom perhaps. in which case emulation is a piece of cake. just hunt down mame, kawaks or final burn on net and read the faqs.

Couldn't agree more. Sadly due to the low number of games released on the hardware (and the fact that 5 of the 6 got quality home conversions) probably means interest amongst emu authors is probably low

I would love to play Warzard/Red Earth again.

couldn't agree more, the x-box version with it's live mode is excellent!

Aren't there horrible issues with Red Earth doing some kind of disc update to the board on first install?

Rom + CHD, or HDD image.

As far as i'm aware, just having the rom isn't good enough. It isn't even playable on MAME anyway, doesn't even boot as far as i'm aware.

Buy it on Dreamcast, and if you don't have a dreamcast, send it to someone who can rip it, get them to send you the rip of your own gd-rom, then play it on Chankast.
