Did you play carrier airwing? thats the follow up to carrier area 88. it's not that great but it's ok.

Wasnt Carrier Airwing/US Navy the prequel??

Whatever, prefer it to Area 88 for a lifetime, but due to great days experience.

Area 88 is indeed a top game. Not as fast paced as some shooters, but still hard as nails and great fun to play.

Would say it's only flaw is that sometimes it can be a bit too hard. Other than that.... Nice graphics, cracking soundtrack, superb gameplay, it's STILL my fave shooter of all time.

UN Squadron is a AAA classic. One of the first snes shooters to really impress and show the systems strengths. Capcom were the masters of 2D back then and this shooter has everything- great graphics-brilliant audio and gripping gameplay. I always come back to this game- sheer class!
