    Darkstalkers/Vampire Hunter etc

I'm getting a bit confused - Vampire Hunter is the first game, right? Followed by Nightwarriors, then Vampire Savior (which needs the RAM expansion for the Saturn)? Trying to track the series dwon on eBay and not exactly sure what's what...

THere was no Nightwarriors on the Saturn unless that's the western title.

    SATURN
    Vampire Hunter
Vampire Savior (Needs the RAM cartridge)

    DREAMCAST
Vampire Chronicle (includes all versions of the Vampire games - Vampire, Hunter, Savior and Savior 2)

The PlayStation got just the first Vampire game which was also called Dalkstalkers

As I understand it, there was 'Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors' (which got ported to the PS1).
'Vampire Hunter' was a slightly reworked version of Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors, and got a port to the Saturn.
'Vampire Savior; was more of a proper sequal, but Capcom them followed it up with Vampire Savior 2, which was a reworked version of Vampire Savior, which some switched characters (due to memory limitations in the arcade version, so SSM said) and colour-fiddled backdrops and some more changes. The Saturn version of Vampire Savior actually combined Vampire Savior and Vampire Savior 2 into 1 game.
Vampire Hunter 2 was Vampire Savior 2 with the Vampire Hunter lineup.

I think that's correct anyway. Capcom got real lazy... people who complained MSH Vs. SF was too similar to Xmen Vs. SF don't know the half of it.

Thanks for that - I've got everything released in the series for the Saturn then. In the instruction manual when it says to do a kind of zig-zag on the pad from towards to down, what are you supposed to do? Or can you only do it with a proper stick?

Forward, Down, Down-Forward (Diagonal) - basic dragon punch motion

So what, you tap forward, tap down, then circle up from down to forward?

Just do a Street Fighter dragon punch movement (FROM PLAYER 1 VIEW) Start from the right of the D-Pad and slide your way to the bottom then back up three quaters of the way so that you're just past over the right and below the up of the D-Pad.

'Tis an admirable effort. The first one on the PS1 is, in my opinion, a quality conversion and one of the better 2D efforts on the system. If you can stand loading times, then No 3 is also very good. Not cheap now, mind.

I think it even got a PAL release, as I vagely remember seeing it in GameStation about 4 years ago. Kinda wish I bought it now =/
