    My 2 most expensive purchases:
-?145 for Taromaru on the Saturn.
    -?110 for a Guwange PCB

Guwange was deffo worth it, Taromaru was not so worth it

The most I ever spent was on obvious things like RSG for around $150, which was not worth it btw. Hyper Duel was also well expensive, but actually worth it due to the amount of play time it received.

I also dropped a pretty penny on Double Dragon Euro for the AES.

My god mayhem thats some serious cash to splash.

Are you worried whats gonna happen years down the line when the tape loses its magnetic properties & it becomes blank. I already have some old speccy tapes that have bit rot.

Yeah, it's generally the AES Neo stuff that goes for crazy amounts. The 4 known copies of Euro Kizuna are valued at about $12500. Ultimate 11 will set you back around $8000. And Metal Slug between $1500 - $3000, depending on Jpn/US version. Mad. Crazy.

Anyhow, the most I've ever spent was on Sapphire and RSG.

Neo Turfmasters is in that league too, it's been selling for silly amounts recently.

Oh and with valuable games on tape like C64 etc, does it actually affect value if they no longer work? I'm thinking probably not as nobody plays them anyway, it's really the packaging that's the valuable bit.

?70 for the PAL PS1 version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. It's a great game but when you can get the superior US version for around a tenner it's so not worth it.

Other than that moment of madness on eBay when I bought Castlevania I haven't spent more than ?45. A brand new factory sealed Dragon Warrior VII set me back ?45 but was worth every penny. A used Tactics Ogre for the PS1 cost me ?44, a used but nr mint Lunar box set on the PS1 also set me back ?44 and a brand new International Superstar Soccer 64 cost me ?42 back in the stupidly expensive N64 days.
