      Thats like a perfect description.

/me gives you a gold star

I was gonna fork out big to get this game and I think I can safely say. I aint now its so expensive for what you guys describe as nothing but an average title.

I think it's great. Not something I'd stick in every day mind but I reckon I play it more regularly than any other DC game with an hour here, an hour there - it's just a neat little arcade game like that.

Now as for gameplay I reckon it's a totally different beast when played with an arcade stick, pulling off those curve shots, placing the ball in just the right spot is a total doddle and great fun to boot. Not half as much fun with a pad though IMO, hard to explain why but it just doesnt feel right.

Picked mine up for about ?20 last year in france, seems to be going for about the same price on yahoo right now

Cosmic Smash is quite a weak title imo. I got it when it came out and it is quite unique. The graphics are effective- with a captivating allure similar to Rez but not as ambitious unfortunately. The gameplay has room for skill and development- and is quite fun once you get in to it.

Overall though I wouldn't rate it too highly. It's a very light-weight title- that is a bit too anorexic for it's own good. It's worth buying though if you like very abstract style experiences- but I wouldn't pay more than ?20

If I remember rightly, doesn't it play so far and then it's impossible?

Oh and being entirely objective, it's definitely worth playing, but won't keep you grabbed for long. Worth ?30 or so if you get pleasure from unusual packaging. ?15 otherwise.

I think it a great game to play every once in a while. The last battle is just fantasic. Shame there was no link up or 2 play mode.

Loved the Art and graphic style and the music is ace, especially the intro music. Which is just pure SEGA Arcade music greatness.

Wouldn't pay more than ?30 for it though.

I do agree with people saying not to pay too much for it as yeah it's very short, no 2 player, bonuses or anything to keep you playing beyond aiming for score/improving your technique.
