The most ubiquitous title in second hand bargain bins...

    Tunnel B1

Dull title, dull game (I should say I've only ever played a demo), obviously too many copies purchased based on graphics alone and unlike many early PSone titles you can still find it in wire baskets (usually in a cracked case) to this day.

Another game (series) that falls into this category include the various MegaDrive iterations of FIFA (and to a lesser extent the other EA Sports franchises).

So, fellow game-hunters, what dusty old crap do you hate having to rifle through while searching for a ?5 copy of Tombi, Klonoa or somesuch?

Sports titles (you mention FIFA) are everywhere, thanks to the 'yearly update' nature of these titles.

'Zoop' on the Megadrive turns up quite a bit, I find.

Slightly less retro, but I believe GAME's trade-in deals are part of a plot to drive Bungie employees insane by locking them in a fully-stocked store where every single game on the shelf is really Oni.

There always seems to be a mass of WWF games everywhere too.

I guess it makes sense that all these games we're mentioning are the least collectible by 'the likes of us'.

The serious 2D Mortal Kombat fan (I'm not one, for the record) would probably either play on MAME or Arcade Treasures 2 these days.

You do sometimes see the ropey PAL MK3 in it's gold cardboard case, but hardly ever MK Trilogy on either Saturn or PSone And just where are all the millions of MD and SNES carts?

                DC Tomb Raider Chronicles.

And Chu Chu ****ing Rocket. That's everywhere.

Saturn Sega Rally seems proliferous. It's nearly always the one Saturn game knocking about the place. And PS1 Shadow Man.

If I had a penny for every copy of Final Fantasy VII I'd seen in the bargain bins I'd have about 85p.

Well the no1 are definetely the EA crud I have do dig thru. The big box saturn games or the countless PS rereleases (platinum, ea classics and whatnot).

With DC its usually VF3tb, Sonic Adventure, Hydro thunder, crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis.

Well i live in Glasgow, Scotland. We have around 6 or 7 Gamestation's within an hour from where i stay (two in the city centre), several GAME stores, a couple of second hand shops and the odd store such as G Force.

In PS1 terms it seems that soccer games especially FIFA, Management games etc all are in abundance in the PS1 sections. There are plenty other games that just won't go away such as the platinum versions of Soul Reaver, Metal Gear Solid, Tomb Raider, Pandemonium, Mickey's WIld Adventure and yet the original releases aren't that common.

For the Megadrive we have hunners of FIFA, Premier Manager (+97), Sonic 1, but you hardly see Sonic 2. For a while there, Brutal Paws of Fury seemed to be everywhere as well.
