    amstrad mega pc

    just wondering if the amstrad mega pc was released over here?-



    never even heard of one before, looks quite good imo.

    I saw pictures of it at the time and think it did get a uk release.

    However was probably as successful as the Sinclair PC200

      i would have liked one of them if i was old enough a computer and a games console in one, space saving and you could look like you were working but infact you were playing games.

        It did get a release, and my friend just found out his parents threw his out!

          Yeah, I remember seeing them in Dixons. That cart slot felt so flimsy, like if you pushed the cart it'd snap the boards inside or something.

            Yes it was - a guy I knew at college had one, it was a 386 processor, but the MegaDrive part was totally seperate.

              Yep, I know someone who had one. MegaDrive in VGA was stunning!

                The Japanese Tera Drive was a lot better looking.



                Plus the PC side was 'aware' of the MD side and I've heard came with some rudimentary development tools.

                  Shipped with the PC game Golf Links i remem.

                        There were both 386 (25MHz) & 486 (33MHz) versions. You can pick 'em up for about ?50 with a bit of patience.
