Such a hard list to make. But I enjoy the challenge.
My ideal way is to try and include at least one from different genre's. But thats impossible for "ALL time" top 5.

Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past - (SNES)
            Metal Gear Solid ( PSX)
            Super Metroid (SNES)
            Soul Calibur (DC)
            Contra III: Alien Wars (SNES)

Really close runner ups: FF7, Grandia, SF2 turbo(SNES), Star Fox (SNES), Super Mario World (SNES), Contra III( SNES).

My God you should have said top 10 to give us a break

Hang on, this is in the Retro forum, and it's a retro top 5. So why are you listing a PS2 game?

                        1. Medievil (Ps1)
                        2. Super Mario bros 3 (nes)
                        3. Streets of rage 2 (MD)
                        4. Kung fu Master (Arcade)
                        5. Bubble Bobble (Saturn)

That was difficult! as other members have said. Only 1 3d game on the list, medievil, was the first game i played that made me accept 3d and realise that it works, when i got my ps1 it came with a demo of medievil and i bought it promptly and played it until i got 100% the rest of my choices are from games that i have probably played more than anything else, although i could easily list another 15, it is difficult! Better post before i chance my list!

I think the crash bandicoot game is what sold me back then. I had been away from gaming and this game showed me 3d gaming on a can work. Not to mention the awsome level of the huge bear chasing you.

                            1) Goldeneye (N64)
                            2) Zelda:Link To The Past (SNES)
                            3) Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
                            4) Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
                            5) Super Mario Kart (SNES)

Very tough to do, I could probably change it given time, but I'll stick with that I think.

I'm voting for games I have played the most in my life. These are titles I still play today with a big smile on my face.

Imo voting should be all about games you genuinely still play and enjoy.

When it comes down to it, racing games are my true love. Not simulations though, they get boring quick and don't stand the test of time. The games I have chosen are all fantasy worlds filled with colour and fun!

you know what I'd like to scarp my list and kingstons's point is the reason. So I sat down and thought what games do I play these days and love and enjoy and they are:

                                Virtua Racing Deluxe - 32x
                                Ridge Racer - ps1
                                Wave race 64 - n64
                                Final Fantasy III - snes
                                Super Mario World - snes

                                There, done!
