    Retro related buffoonery

Bit of a weird topic but anyone ever witnessed or committed this. I don't mean seeing a ?2 game for sale at ?200 or stuff like that (that's just plain silly), more things that make you wanna cry, laugh, go meh, go arse!

I have! A few weeks back I sold someone a spare pce duo I had. Obviously I give it a good test before I sell it, and in the manner of a complete buffoon leave a game in the cd part. Oh well, no great loss, it must have been a cheapo game? Wrong. It was Bazarre de Gozarre, a rare game that cost me in the region of ?200. I'm such a buffoon .

(At least I'm getting it back as the buyer is a good friend, but it won't be mint anymore)

Best one I can give as an example was a bloke who feverishly contacted me, and tried to leave me negative feedback, over an ebay sale of an NTSC-U SNES cart.

First of all, I had a message saying: "The cartridge looks odd - it is a different size and a dark grey/purplish colour", then later that evening one complaining that "the cartridge is too wide to fit into the slot of my machine".

"I feel like I have been tricked and decieved" he went on.

Basically, he hadn't realised that you need a convert..... oh you know the score.

He never replied to me when I sent him the info along with a FAQ about playing NTSC games on a PAL machine. He never left me any feedback either. What an empty head.

Hind sight is a wonderful thing...

I must have had some old spectrum boxed games that might be rare that i have given away

Probably lending my mum a modded Saturn so she could play Puzzle Bobble and Bomberman at 60Hz, only to find that she kept it on the carpet in a tiny corner of a dusty room.

Not surprisingly after 3 days Saturn goes *poof!*, loads of smoke shoots out of the vents, and I need a new Saturn. Grr...
