had a search for this game on the digitpress website - could NOt be found!!! either a mega rare release or some kinda homebrew thingy!!
Now there is one thing with that, the program displays a large logo on the corner of the screen to show that the program was used to create the file, our friend has probably hacked the program to not display this logo, then he has simply converted Saboteur into a cartridge format with the program, burned it onto a suitable EPROM and soldered into cartridge.. then printed off his cover and label, put them on and then in a box..
Its probably a hacked burning rubber. I was going to try this myself to see if it worked, but I guess the answer is : it does.
Interesting, since any Amstrad game that doesnt use a keyboard, but accepts normal joystick input can be converted into cartridge format - since the GX4000 is just an Amstrad in a "futuristic - lol!" box..
I was imagining the classic games that could be "released" on a small scale
Note the lack of manual and dodgy font on the text on the rear of the box..
Still quite cool nevertheless.

This game's been creeping up recently - used to be fairly static around ?30-?40, then one went for ?50 not long ago .. but this one's going insane!

And as for expensive GX4000 games - there was a copy of Copter 271 (first I've seen sold on eBay) a few months back that made about €330! There was also an in-store demo cart that made a similar amount.Last edited by anagrama; 09-05-2007, 11:40.

We may need to have a word Sir Alan perhaps to get a definitive GX4000 list!

I queried the seller and he tells me it is a "polish version" that was "probably created for the Amstrad clones"
If you check his feedback he sells vectrex multi-carts, essentially the same sort of thing..
Since the game has what is obviously an original case, 100% pristine and fresh labels and a modern font on the rear of the insert this is 99.99% not an official release..
Yes Copter 271 is insanely rare, that was only released in France..
