I don't know - I've seen the UK Golden Axe 2 go for more than twenty quid on a couple of occasions. It's not particularly rare, but people just seem to want it.

          oh yeah sure is.

i was browsing for Bonkers CD compilations, i stumbled across bonkers for the megadrive.

Bonkers totally mint with manual ?3 on b.i.n. and Toughman contest mint as well for 45p on b.i.n. Postage was ?3. I was pleased with the buy as i had been meaning to get bonkers for awhile.

funny thing is, 000npr000 sold them for bargains. strange coming from a collector/trader

True, but its pretty tough to know the value of everything, even the high street chains like Gamestation sell rares for peanuts occasionally...

I wouldn't know as i've only been retro hunting for the last year or so.

90-95% of the stuff is more expensive than ebay, Tatty Secret of Mana SNES for 59.99 anyone...

Having said that, in the last week I picked up a GC broadband adaptor preowned for a fiver, and a few weeks ago I got sensible soccer and secret of monkey island amiga for a fiver

Gamestation are generally aware of whats "HOT", if you will. I've picked up many a bargain (in my opinion) from them. They generally sell copies of Suikoden II for less than ?25 and frequently sell boxed and complete PAL 32X and MEGA CD games for either ?4.99 or ?6.99.
I recently bought Knuckles Chaotix from them for ?6.99. It was from a Gamestation in Edinburgh that I picked up a copy of Surgical Strike for ?4.99 on the MEGA CD too.
More often than not they'll sell games like Streets of Rage 3, Phantasy Star IV, Shining Force II and the like for bucketloads.
Grr to them sometimes, but not other times.
Right now Glasgow is shocking for Retro games. I personally have more PAL PS1 and MD than anywhere in or around the city at the moment.

Every GS around here has a copy of Secret of Mana, its usually the US version for some odd reason as well, and as someone else has said its like ?60

Ive even been in one GS (cant remember which) and they had about 3 boxed US Secret of Mana's all lined up one after another, which made it look common as fcuk!

Indeed. That is where I picked up Primal Rage on the 32X, which I sold on for over ?100 having paid a paltry ?4.99
