No, nowhere near. It is extremely rare, but the same seller previously tried to sell it with a starting bid of $3,000 and had no takers. He seems like a bit of an arsehole too - there's a couple of threads about him and this cart at AtariAge.

The Atlantis II cart? Dunno really, as I'm not too clued up on Atari prices. From what I've read, only single-figure quantities are known, so it's "as much as someone would pay" really. A good couple of grand ($) certainly, maybe more since it's got all the extras with it.
Mayhem might be able to give a better idea since he's splashed out on a few VCS rarities in his time

I know just wish I had taken a risk, nevermind. As for Konsolen_kost dunno where he or any of the others have gone, disappeared off the face of the earth.

You're pretty much right there anyhow Anagrama, a couple of grand roughly if it's "complete" with the paperwork. There is a "box" but it's a normal Atlantis with a sticker on it (bit like how ALL Atlantis 2 carts are in normal shells, and the only way to tell is by plugging it in!).

I got a sealed Marko's Magic Football on PAL MCD for ?30 from telegames.co.uk last year
I know there are at least 6 people on this forum and digitpress that are fuming that i broke the seal. Shame as well, they were more than willing to pay double for it or to swap it for an unsealed one.
Feel a bit crap that I opened it to play it when I got it instead of waiting a few days.

                        Hehe.

I had the same idea as you, but i don't have a MCD. I remember Gary saying that it's worth a fair bit. But majority of germans won't post to uk.

Whats common there, seems rare here. on most cases

Wouldn't say that Marko MCD is 'common', even in Germany. All the Domark MCD releases are pretty thin on the ground - and there's a some very interesting background on the reasons for that here (well, Ok, I found it interesting ... nerd that I am!)

Not so sure about the majority of Germans not posting to the UK either. I think it is more likely the case that a lot of them don't want the hassle of dealing with someone who won't communicate with them in their own language. How many buyers would you deal with who sent you messages only in Italian, or Portuguese?

                              -0FF TOPIC-

HEH funny, I once was looking foor a buddy seat for my motorcycle, on ebay.be, got redirected to ebay.de, was an INTERNATIONAL item. I won another item from the same seller, but had to explain to him for 5 or 6 times in my best German that I didn't want the seperate buy.

This really pisses me off: if you auction it internationally, at least learn some English I'd say!!!

So actually, this works both ways, doesn't it?

                              [/RANT]

I was actually referring to ebay.de auctions that state "ship to Germany only". It had been suggested that these sellers don't want to ship internationally, but my opinion is that more likely they just don't want to have to deal with someone who doesn't speak German.

In my experience, I have found that polite communication in the seller's first language can often have positive results, whereas simply sending "HI! WILL YOU POST THIS TO ENGLAND?" probably wouldn't even get a reply.

Manners will get you a long way - and I think it is good manners to at least attempt to speak a little of someone's language if you want to buy something from them.
