Saturn Jap/PAL game anomally??

Just a quick post as I've noticed something a bit odd, when I run my PAL copy (using an Action Replay) of Die Hard Arcade on my Derby Stallion Jp Saturn All the text is displayed in Japanese?? However when I run this on a PAL system the language is english??? I would have thought it would change had I used switches etc. but I have not modded the system in any way, When i run other PAL games they run as normal with UK text, just wondered why it would happen with this??? Maybe because it's a SEGA produced game??

Try changing the language in your saturn's menu to English fella. (Ie turn it on with no game inside and go through the menu)

Some very few games change their language based on the region of the console. VERY few games, Die Hard Arcade being one of them.

Many MegaDrive titles did this also, such as the SoR games.

THis is something Sega have been doing since the Mark III (Master System) Back in the cartridge days many games had dual language settings depending on what system you ran it on. For the Saturn some game's language is decided by what language you have the Saturn's bios running in. It has nothing to do with the console being JPN/US or PAL like in the cartridge days. THere are also one or two Dreamcast games that also do this.

Yeah i Know Super Shinobi SOR etc. on the Megadrive did just thought was odd as never seen a saturn title do it, the Language option in the cd menu makes no difference. Yeah i figured it was thw Bios, i may install some region switches, cheers.
