I'd have to say my fave is CvS 1, followed by 2. I just prefer the 2D backgrounds in the first game and the little movie intros to the stages- the atmosphere just feels better in it.

Indeed the original CvS was a post modern classic being a great game & trumping what it was meant to represent. the sequel a good game for sure, but lost the edge.

Got it on release and that intro rocked my world, ffs it had meteors then zoomed down to a stadium. What more doth man need.

Sweating your arse for weeks for Morrigan and Co made it all the more fun too!
I remember playing along with my gf's brother when Gouki came down, bitched slapped Bison and we were like, OMG!!

Quality moment, along with seeing Evil Ryu and Blood Iori, looking totally nuts!!

Capcom's marvel games are fun. However, they are more than a bit on the cheap side what with the infinite combos. In high level play, the winner is usually determined by whoever pulls of their infinite combo first.

My favourite vs game from Capcom is CvS2. Yeah, the character balance is dubious, not too mention "roll cancelling". But all in all, it's a good effort by Capcom and good fun to play. It is far more playable than SvC chaos imo

I use to play Capcom VS SNK 2 alot when it first came out on the Dreamcast and thought it was great fun.

Marvel VS Capcom 2 does have incredible characters but I find the gameplay extremely lacking. The characters all play pretty the same.

Since turning my attention to 3rd Strike about a year ago all these other "vs" beat 'em ups seem so shallow and pointless so I doubt I'll ever go back to them. Roll on Street Fighter 4, if it ever happens.

                  I liked marvel vs capcom

basically because it felt less of a sprite rip game then xmen vs streetfighter and marvel vs street fighter

I love combo movies think i tried to make one for cammy on marvel vs capcom 2 will have to see if i still have it somewhere

Damn right. Some shoddy pirate action, but hey, Akira vs Paul. Woo hoo.

X-men Vs SF is my favorite

Because its the first and because it has the best line up. Ofcourse MvC2 had all of those characters combined but I was annoyed by MvC2; Backgrounds stank, music stank, gameplay was ripped.

Anyway X-men vs SF and MvC1 had the least sprite rips because most of the guys in these 2 games hadn't made a previous appearance yet. You have to go back to 97 to find out that it was awesome to see the likes of Rogue, Cammy, Gambit and Apocalypse fighting in SFA style =)

X-Men Vs Streetfighter is my fav just love it. However ive gotta give mention to Snk Vs Capcom Chaos becuase it was the biggest dissapointment ever, it should have been so much more.

Guilty pleasure is what i call it. Refreshingly new capcom sprites, quirky pre match character conversations, interesting secret characters and a great soundtrack go some distance in redeeming the game despite its awful balance, clearly delineated tiers, hit box detections, recycled snk sprites and cheapo end of game bosses and altogether "old" look
