Have a shenmue christmas!!

Just playing shenmue now and i'm on december 23rd and there's snow falling over yokosuka and i'm seeing santa walk around. I'm wondering why is it that shenmue and christmas go together so well, every year i dig out the dc and boot up shenmue every year since 2001. just wondering does anyone else have this tradition aswell?

i know the feeling once i played it till morning without realising i just kept going to my self just one more day to try to win the forklift race

Didn't really have time to fire up shenmue this year, I made sure I watched the dvd though!

i know what you mean. Its been a tradition of mine for years..it just seems "right". I love the atmosphere of the game at the best of times,but christmas just seems to enhance it for me somehow!

I'm playing too, I just managed to help the young Chinese kid get his ball back from the Yakuza guys. That's my good deed for the day then...:P

I booted up a save I had on [in-game] Christmas Day. Unfortunately it was also a very busy day (the one where you get fired from your job and have to fight Gui Zhang) so I didn't get to pester Father Christmas (aka booze man) or piss about the town as much as I would have liked.

Decided to break out the Dreamcast and put Shenmue (JP) on. It's Dec 23rd in the game right now (carrying on my save from 2008!), I just met Santa who said Merryyyyyyy Christmas

Can't wait for tomorrow, I hope it snows! It's not snowing now, though. Maybe I'll see him lying on the ground in a pool of his own liquids. After all, the AI in this game is supposed to be computastic, so who knows...
