Solomons Key - a forgotten classic?

Been playing this on MAME and it's aged remarkably well. Perhaps because it's a game which never relied on visuals for it's appeal.

I think it's was pretty unique for it's time - a non-scrolling platform game which relies on puzzle solving to progress, with multiple routes. C64 version was class as well.

I haven't played Solomons Key that much, but over the years I have had the odd go, and it's a really nice game. The design from the visuals to the gameplay really gel to create a very effective quite hypnotic game. Just like Bubble Bobble, BombJack etc... It's a classic slice of manic 80's gameplay!

I will be giving this another go very soon!

Used to play it tons on my Speccy and then the arcade version later via MAME, never saw a real one to play on although I did once see a board for sale at Raven Games which was, of course, wildly overpriced.
      Great game.

Hated this on NES. Such a bastard of a game. Don't think I ever got past level 3.
