Oddly though, I love Tactics Ogre but absolutely hated the GBA version of Final Fantasy Tactics. It left me cold. Far too much cynical levelling up. It felt massively unbalanced and the lack of a counter-attack as default made me wtf?! too. Surely if someone hits you, you hit them back. But anyway, FFTA started off wonderfully. I just wish it had stayed like the snowball fight instead of turning into hackneyed "I opened a book and was sucked in and one of my friends (the one I didn't like that much) has turned into the evil leader" crap.

Oh, btw, isn't Alphonse (your blue-haired avatar) in Tactics Ogre Knight of Lodis one of the bad guys in the SFC Ogre Battle?

You wouldn't be the only person who think's that FFTA isn't a patch on Tactics Ogre, the GBA one blows it out of the water.

FFTA like you say gets very dull as the game goes on and the leveling up tests even me!

Yeah I know the Shining Series has lot of styles, original however it stuck to just three until Sega started making them. But I think it's the RPG's with the most styles now beating even Final Fantasy!

I have to disagree on FFTA. The Judge System really set it apart from the competition for me as it added an extra layer of straegy that doesn't exist in any of its rivals.

Ah yes, the judge system. That same judge system which failed to check if the rule it was dropping was even fair. The judge system that didn't allow your team to use the fight command, which left you a bit stuck if it came up early on in the game and you didn't have a card to counteract it, because that was all you could do. Sorry, but the judge system for me just added another frustration to an already unbalanced game. It's like if you've not eaten for days and you'll eat anything and you get served some rancid soup but you'll eat it anyway coz it's all there is and then someone telling you you're only allowed to use a fork.
