Captain commando on the snes/sfc is fantasic though ive only played it on the ps1,coming out on the psp soon on the capcom classics collection.
Rushing beat 1,2 &3 i think is the sfc final fight clones you were trying to think of? Not played any of them but i hear only 3 is any good.
I had a blast off all 3 of the Rushing Beat games and I'd say that the second one is the only decent title. The English versions are censored though, with the kick to the nuts move changed to a head butt.

Yeah... Rushing Beat Ran the 2nd game in the series is pretty good. Back in the day me and my best mate used to play it quite a bit. No1 is crap, and no3 is fairly dull.

Another great snes scrolling fighter is ' Ninja Warriors Again ' .. It has fantastic graphics and gameplay... buy it now!

Yup, that's the sorta games I'm talkin about!

Cheers for that and the other replies. And yeah, that game I was trying to remember was indeed Rushing Beat 2.

Anyone happen to know of a site (I stumbled across it ages ago but can't remember it) that has info and pics on these sort of games? I think it was Italian of French or something...

I'm selling mine as I'm not that impressed with it.

Guardian Heroes deffo, its just one of the best games in life.

They say Panzer Bandit on PSX is a bit like it, i say Panzer Bandit is a load of ****e.

Crisis Beat on PSX is pretty good, bit like Die Hard arcade, which is another great.

I agree with you on that, shame it's not 2 player though as I think that is the games weekest point.

That's Dynamite Deka, right? That's on the next Sega Ages and looks quite promising...

SNES Captain Commando isn't a patch on the arcade original.

There's a fairly decent Asterix side-scroller too. Good fun in MAME.

Was there a sonic blast man game for the snes?

I remember playing one but do not know it was arcade or for the snes

I think there were two Sonic Blast Man games for the Snes.

Capcom did some side scrolling 'knight' beat 'em ups for the Snes - Knights Of The Round and another very similar one.

Sonic Blastman had two games for the snes. Unfortunately both are very weak titles in all departments. The first one is a slow ponderous affair, whilst the second is faster and at least much better than the original.

If you have to buy one, make sure it's this one ( no2! )

Capcom released ports of ' Knights of the Round ' & ' The King Of Dragons '

They are pretty similar titles. I haven't played them for ages, but I think Knights of the Round is the better game. I didn't find them to be anything special though ( Magic Sword beats them both for enjoyment factor )

Yeah deffo man, its a great game all round, 2 player too, everything about is top notch, tho as with the genre can't take 10 years worth of fun.....I still like it tho, once a year like.

I never realised those 2 were ported to the SNES. I was always on the look out for good scrolling beat em ups and I would have really like those (dam lack of information back in the day). King of Dragons looks alot like Capcom's Dungeons & Dragons games. Instead of them I had to make do with crappy Legend.

2 Crude Dudes is another not mentioned.
