DoDonPachi is a must-have if you don't mind shelling out. Sexy Parodius, R-Type Delta, G-Darius, Raiden DX, Gradius Gaiden and the Gradius Deluxe Pack are unmissable, too. If you go onto a site like Play Asia you should be able to get Gaiden for under ?15.

Most of the games mentioned here are top banana, but I thought I'd second those (or tenth them, as the case may be)!

If you're sick of list threads, I'll happily provide adequate praise or blow-by-blow critiques, too...

since i started this thread i picked up dodonpachi and gradius gaiden, dodon is ****in ace

Jpn in the hunt is great, havnt played the saturn version though. Its all very metal slugish the whole game (or at least what ive played of it so far) reminds me at lot of the submarine levels in metal slug 3.

I was thinking about getting the saturn version but heard about a lot of compatibility problems with some consoles then i saw the psone version was out.

Usually saturn versions of 2d games are better then the psones

With the exception of Capcom's stuff I wouldn't say that was really the case, its certainly not as clear cut as some make out.

DonPachi, DoDonPachi, Dracula X, In the Hunt, Strikers 1945 II are all better on the PSone. Gradius & Salamader Deluxe Packs are the same (with better FMV?).

Try checking out the videogamecentre in Bournemouth, where their copy is over ?100 if I remember correctly. Ridiculous.

P.s. if anyone has a copy of In The Hunt going (any region) give me a shout. Been meaning to get that for an age.
