For a game, ?275 for Ginga Fukei Densetsu : Sapphire. I was about 15 and spent months and months selling stuff and saving to buy it. I truly thought it would be the greatest thing ever - it was mythical to a boy of my youth and stupidity. I got it and it was good, by all accounts, but I was secretly upset that it wasn't programmed by Jesus, which was what I was lead to believe.

        The lessons we learn......

Ketsui set me back about ?280 with shipping. Other than that I've a few things that probably edged over $100 (Strikers 1945 II pcb, Dracula X: Rondo of Blood, Judgement Silversword, Great Mahou Daisakusen ...) and I did buy a Radiant Silvergun at one point for ?150 but didnt care much for it in the end.

get an MVS, too many times I see people getting into homecarts and having to deliberate over which games to get because of cost. its silly.

me, ?110 for JP kof98 ngh, ?108 for JP LB1 ngh

nothing else really, little homecart purchases for 75 and the like

if I wanted metal slug, which I did, I bought it on MVS for 30 quid, it saves hiscores on the MVS version too! the homecart doesnt

?35 for the House of the Dead saturn boxset.
?20 for Spyro 3 (dont ask)

2nd hand games ftw! its rare that i spend >?15 on a game. not having either a 360 or an AES helps

i do want to get steel battion thoguh, witch is about ?70ish quid

After buying KoF 2002 AES on launch (which was a massive anti-climax) I've always wanted to purchase an arcade PCB on launch. I was looking into Raiden III before it launched although it was going to set me back something like ?2,200. I didn't bother.

Street Fighter 4, if it ever happens, would be nice to pick up. It'd be a waste of cash though as you just know there'd be another 2 revisions out after another 2 years.

Espgaluda II was in my cab the next working day after it hit Japanese arcades because Cave own my soul. That one doubled my record from my Neo Geo fanboy days, and getting out of AES was supposed to save me money. >_<

                              Worth every penny.

There are very few shmup sequels I'd absolutely have to have on release, and an Espgaluda sequel was one of em. I certainly won't be picking up Pink Sweets just yet.

But man if kits don't drop fast from the instance they're released, ECL have it for just ?480 now, Ibara for ?205
