Looks like there are loads of new features, which may or may not spoil the original classic gameplay - hopefully they will add to it rather than spoiling it, but we'll see - there are some touch screen shenanigans but with a bit of luck these will not be too annoying - what is everyone's thoughts?
A health meter and touch-screen sections? No thanks!

If Rising Star had directly ported Bubble Bobble, RI and TNZS to the DS intact with the graphics adapted to the DS screen resolution (RI could even have made use of both screens), they would have had gamers eating out of their hand. As game designers (touch-screen spot the difference in a platform game? WHAT?) and as artists (those Bubble Bobble sprites were awful) they don't have much talent so the last thing they should be doing is butchering classic games.

They don't have the licence to port the original games (bubble bobble slipped thruogh the net) hence the remakes that often bore no resemblance to the original.

Well hopefully Taito themselves or somebody similarly competant will convert the original games to DS because these remakes are not my cup of tea to put it mildly
