Ltd Edition Nintendo 64 controller

I'm trying to remember a rare Nintendo 64 controller which was released around about 1999. It was a dark blue controller called the Millenium edition/2000 edition... or something like that. I've tried doing both web and image searches but can't find anything relating to this controller, but I know it exists (I remember one selling for a high price on ebay). I'm sure it has the text "2000" on the controller, but I could be wrong.

Can anyone help me with the name of this edition or a photo?

I have a blue Dreamcast Millenium controller. Sure you don't mean that one mate?

The milennium edition was for dreamcast as nick mentioned.

There was a LE midnight blue N64 in japan which has a pad with the clour you mentioned.

You can get the pads separate but they are very very VERY hard to get hold of. They come in white boxes instead of the full colour ones.

There was definitely a Millenium Edition of the n64 controller that Nintendo had released just prior to 2000. I remember seeing a picture of it in one of the late 1999 issues of Nintendo Power. I'm pretty sure it was silver though, with a bit of blue on the underside or something of the sort.

Okay, I know about the Dreamcast pads but this was definitely a N64 controller. I also know about the Midnight Blue edition and it wasn't that either. I think they were either:

a) Given away as a prize in a contest

b) Club Nintendo editions

c) Nintendo Power editions

...but I really can't remember. Tried doing searches for all three but not found anything yet. It's possible that they came in more colors than just blue, but the one I seen was dark blue with "2000" (or something similar) in silver or gold lettering above the start button.

Anyone else remember them?

Definately not club nintendo as club nintendo wasnt around when N64 was out.

Your description of the pad sounds very like the nintendo power one that Light mentioned but that pad was fully silver. There was one up on ebay a few years back, i would have picked it up but it was scratched to hell.
