Nice. I wish I could have gone now, although there didn't seem to be enough consoles there for my liking. You wouldn't get me anywhere near that badly-yellowed Amiga, either. Yuck!

Will you be doing another event next year Boyo? Or maybe sooner? Ironically it seems like the 'scaled down' nature of the this event seemed to appeal to people more than the massive weekend you originally had planned. I'd defo be up for coming to your next one...provided I'm not anywhere else, obviously.

I enjoyed it Unfortunately I couldn't stay as long as would have liked, but had a great time playing on all the different machines.

Surprised at the VERY VERY low GW:RE scores though. 88k was the top score?!?! Jeez, wish I had been around for that competition

          Cheers Chris!

You should have introduced yourself. Anyway, the comp was for the original Geometry Wars mate.

                  Aaaarrgghh! I missed this!

I could have easily won that Megadrive too! (I still need one oO)

They had Moonstone there as well! Moonstone was my most favourite Amiga game ever! My mates' copies all had the same glitch where the game would freeze/restart if you actually clicked on the Moonstone, so I never finished it.

I was the first one out of us all to actually take on the dragon and win too. I won a 'Sword of Sharpness' which kicked ass.

                    Forum meet

I had a good time at the meet, it was not what I expected at all, but in a good way...

I took an old Sony monitor and my Megadrive and a load of games including Aeroblasters etc, which seemed to go down well - it was nice to get it out of the loft and into practical use again!!

Anyway, Boyo did an excellent job organising the whole thing...nice one...

oh yeah...anyone know who owned the dreamcast with Zero Gunner 2 playing on it??!

I've never seen that game before and it blew me away...it's AWESOME...

I have a UK dreamcast and have now been trawling the net looking for Zero Gunner but it's rarer than rocking-horse poo!! When you do find it, it's damned expensive!

Yeah but it's worth every penny. THE best shooter on the Dreamcast imo, and one of the best available full stop

I had a feeling you might have had something to do with the number of import console items at the meet, Daz...

Bet they looked at you stoney-faced when you informed them that the Saturn did not play host to an all-important Dizzy conversion.

Strider, how had you hooked the dcast up to the monitor/tv? Standard scart cable? The image looked pin sharp...seemed better than my TV at home...

(sorry, it was so damned dark in there, I didn't even notice if it was a TV or monitor!!)

I'm guessing he used a DC VGA box, which allows you to hook your DC up to a monitor (if the game supports it).

If he wasn't, then I'm assuming he just had a ****-hot RGB SCART cable!
