Should the games not be cross-platform ideally? I'd love to play Panzer Dragoon Orta, but I'll be ****ed if I'm going to buy an x-box and pay for 2 body builders to lift it in to my house..

My vote goes to NiGHTS. It's NiGHTS' 10yr anniversary this year and people are doing jack **** about it. As always I blame Yuji Naka.

Might not be the kind of thing you're looking for, but how about a Myst game? It's a series that's much overlooked by your average gamer, despite selling millions of copies in its prime, and Myst III (which is the one I'd suggest) is available for very little money on PS2, Xbox and PC (the PC version can be had for as little as ?3.50 on Amazon right now).

Myst III is, to my mind, about the easiest of the series and has nice, self contained puzzles and worlds and stands alone pretty well story-wise. It also hold up well graphically, whereas the first couple of games are looking a bit dated these days. The console versions should make it playable for most people.

Just thought it might be interesting to look at a game that's probably a bit different to what people generally play.

A game Ive overlooked that Ive heard a lot of good things about is Killer 7, Virgin have got it in their sale for ?4.99 on PS2 and it can also be picked up for the GC as well, its something ive been meaning to give a go for a while

Jus a suggestion, but should we stick to games that are readily available, cos not everyone gonna own Panzer dragoon Azel, or radient silvergun. Also, the games chosen would be better off being available on more than one format. Jus a thought.

I would agree with that, I bought it at launch on GC and never really got into it.

Killer7 would be a great choice. I'd have to buy it again (on GC, this time round) but what better reason to splash the cash a second time?
