    Sega Master System

I remember there were some good games on there. Retro in today's perspective but were good. Take the first Master system. You had integrated packs and one of them was a 3d glasses pack. Where you could play After Burner in 3d. Not only could you play 3d games but some games you needed those card things. THis probably enhanced graphics but my favourite RPG had to be Heroes of the Lance.

Talk about anything you like about Master System 1 or 2 and the games etc.

The Ninja is probably the best budget game ever.

          There's not a 3D version of AfterBurner.

Yeah, Alex Kidd is still awesome today. Best way to play it though is on a 60Hz modded SMS2.

Well, only it's also been RGB-modded. Otherwise an SMS1 is the way to go.

I would prefer the SMS1 for aesthetics and because it has the card slot personally.

The Master System is funny because the difference between bad software and good is so stark.
The Bad: Rainbow Islands. The Good: Dragon's Trap.
It makes you wonder how Sega got such brilliance out of the machine when certain other developers could only manage an ugly, flickery mess.
