Four months of voting brings 2009 to its conclusion, fifteen rounds of games covering close to 900 titles and now we're going to crown the winner




Which of the listed games are truly the very best from 2009 and why?

Voted Bayonetta and Ballad of Gay Tony.

Bayonetta is a masterpiece of an action game. But I wanted to vote for Gay Tony, too, since that was such a fun expansion and by far the best part of GTA IV imo. One of my fave bits of GTA ever.

I haven’t played Gay Tony but think I might have it … Will need to set the PS3 up and check.

I went Bayonetta … the original and best. Demon’s Souls … possibly the most compulsive game I’ve ever played. And OutRun OA … it ain’t perfect, but it looks and runs great and has just enough to deliver the goods when I want a hit.
