We've reached a point where I feel it's time to make a change in how these run. We've been running through all of gamings history for approximately four years now and as we enter the 2010's we reach a point where the digital era really expands hard. In 2024 alone there were over 19,000 games released on Steam alone highlighting how impractical using the same approach we've been using up until now would be to maintain. As much as is possible all prior years have listed every single release known regardless of how fringe of irrelevant the listing might clearly be.
So, from this point onward some curation is going to be required. If a game is missed that rings out to you that it must be considered, feel free to highlight it. I'll try to keep if fairly fluid but unless it stands out I'll skip titles that are obviously daft to include in the running. This should also help us to start steering toward the end game for Critics Club IV after what will be a clear half decade.
So, once again...
Which of the listed games are among the best of the year and why?
