Basically, you're pretty safe unless you're being really silly (i.e. don't go grabbing your adaptor with soaking wet hands while you are standing in water).
You'd dump your MD in the bath?
I'm not too sure I can answer the question to be honest as my physics knowledge is a bit rusty. Dropping anything electrical in a bath isn't going to be nice, but I don't think the MD would be the best thing to finish him off with.
If my maths and logic is correct, dropping an MD in the bath might not kill them unless they were unlucky. If they were not touching a metal part capable of directly delivering power, the resistance of the current to the heart might be too high to allow enough current to be fatal at the MD's 10V. Assuming the MD was not physically touching the person in the bath, prodding about inside the MD with wet hands might be a more dangerous thing to do. However, if they were directly in contact with the output from the transformer, or the water contained enough conductive salts it could deliver a fatal shock even at such a low voltage.
If you want to be sure, do the job right and throw a TV in!
