    Best connection for UK N64?

Well, the Ocarina of Time thread has given me the push to drag my N64 out!

N64 and matching green pad from attic - check!

N64 Zelda cart from box in office with snes games - check! (when women sort videogames )

Powerpack from a box of assorted cables - check.

AV lead.... av lead? Can only find my composite lead, not the best quality for a 50" display.

What is the best \ avail for a UK N64? I recall there is a component cube lead (same fitting) but assume that will not run, was there an RGB scart lead? Is it still avail (same as cube?)

    Thanks in advance,

    Ian

S-Video is the best you'll get I think.

The Cube Component cable used a different connector (the Digital Out), and the UK N64 cannot output RGB.

unfortunately s-video on a PAL N64 looks pretty bad

An RGB'ed Jap/US N64 is the only way to go if you want a crisp, clean image.

You'll get used to it. Give it 10 minutes and if you're playing a game like OoT you will just be so immersed that you'll probably forget about the graphics

You know, you're absolutely right. You first fire up an N64 game on composite and it hits you as being a bit crude and poor edge definition etc, but then you start to connect with a ninty game and you forget all about it.

Just serves to remind me why I love ninty stuff.
