Axelay Cheats??

A lot of my games collection is in storage, so recently I bought the American version of Axelay, only to realise it doesn't have any cheat modes.

Then I bought a boxed Japanese version, which I was sure would have the cheat feature, but sadly it seems like it doesn't!

I basically want the cheat because most of my friends are crap at shooters, and I want them to appreciate the game without dying every 2minutes.

How can I make sure I get a version with the cheat?

Check out http://www.gamefaqs.com/ for all your cheat needs. Don't bother with the forums though since it's full of idiot kids.

i don't think Axelay has any cheats you can input, maybe only action replay codes.

From Gamefaqs, not verified mind you but..

Pause game play and press X. The word "Muteki" will appear on the life gauge to confirm correct code entry.

Level Select (japanese version)
Press Left or Right at the title screen to change the starting level number in the lower left corner of the screen.
