The Sims for consoles, Which are the good ones?

I have a xbox and I never played The Sims on any format.

I've red some reviews and it seems there are four The Sim games for consoles. The Sims 1 and 2 ported from PC, and a couple of original expansions for console.

The expansions got low scores, the console remake for The Sims 1 is in 3D and got good reviews, and The Sims 2 is criticized for being a censored port with no sex and overall boring copared to the PC version.

Since I have no idea of what to expect about these games, is there any edition really fun? Also, I can't really tell after reading the reviews if The Sims is really console friendly, so I'd like to know if the controls are clumsy in the ports making the game tedious to play.

I'm not a Sims fan myself, but wife and daughter have played them (Sims 1 & 2 and Bustin' Out) a fair bit on both PS2 & GC, the games aren't exactly graphically demanding so both formats looked virttually identical from what I recall.

Control etc is fine with a joypad.
