The most aesthetically pleasing cartridge size and shape

I don't think I would classify cartridges as 'aesthetically pleasing' but as a SNES fan boy I'd have to choose PAL SNES or Super Famicom carts. I've never seen a Hu-Card so I can't comment on them.

I think the DS carts are perfect, small, tough and cute.. Especially when compared to the joke of portability that UMDs are.

Yeah, nice + heavy too for some of the higher memory carts.

I loved the ZX Spectrum carts. I only ever had one, "JetPac" but I will never forget how amazed I was to load the game from ROM.

I think the mat black and retro red are sublime, and the small size of the thing made for a great tactile experience.

The next favorite on the list would be DS carts, they a small and sexy!

Possibly the japanese Famicom carts for me...they have a nice diddy little picture on them and remind me of an Animal Bar...mmm...panda flavour.

Just EA stamping their name on it? Like the stupid big Saturn boxes that only they used?

I think EA developed that cart design independant of Sega or something before they licensed them to develop on the megadrive...

Another vote here for the Jpn MD carts. They are just so representative of that era of gaming, i dunno, they just seemed perfect.

Anyway, HuCards (obviously for their all-round dinky niceness), and the previously-unmentioned Pokemon mini carts, for me. Small and beautiful, both of 'em.

Another for Japanese MD carts. Would of loved it if the small case Sunsoft's Batman was used a lot more though.

GBA, I remember getting my first GBA game (Konami Krazy Racers for the record) and being shocked at how small the carts were - seems rediculous now, but I was!

And it is practical, as there nice and easy to store, and lose... maybe there not the best.

It's not ridiculous, I thought the same when I bought a GBA on launch. And then the DS came along three and a half years later, with even smaller cartridges and even bigger games on them... Oh, and they're easier to lose too. Only big prob' I have with GBA carts is that the label's too easily scratched...
