I don't think I would classify cartridges as 'aesthetically pleasing' but as a SNES fan boy I'd have to choose PAL SNES or Super Famicom carts. I've never seen a Hu-Card so I can't comment on them.

I loved the ZX Spectrum carts. I only ever had one, "JetPac" but I will never forget how amazed I was to load the game from ROM.
I think the mat black and retro red are sublime, and the small size of the thing made for a great tactile experience.
The next favorite on the list would be DS carts, they a small and sexy!

And it is practical, as there nice and easy to store, and lose... maybe there not the best.And then the DS came along three and a half years later, with even smaller cartridges and even bigger games on them... Oh, and they're easier to lose too.
Only big prob' I have with GBA carts is that the label's too easily scratched...
