Took ages to get the controls working properly (analogue braking and acceleration) and it doesn’t seem to handle quite right yet (whether this is a control issue or emulation issue I’m not sure). Also, although the patch notes say the “analogue wraparound” bug is fixed, it still happened to me (i.e. full right on the stick = left in game).

Still, I’m keeping my eye on this for future updates.
Yep, known issue. It's being fixed in the NEXT one now.

    Apparently.

You should try Motor Raid on the same emulator - BRILLIANT game imo!

Ahhh Daytona - one of my favourite games of all time

Tell me how do the gears work? I take it it is one key each for up/down gears?

Is it possible to have the four gears on seperate buttons? I need to be able to shift from 4th gear *straight* into 2nd / 1st gear to have a proper game

grrr..I wanted to run this on a shuttle away from my main PC but it's struggling. Daytona's running at around 15-20 FPS, even after messing around with the ATI catalyst options as recommended on the official emu site.
The shuttle is a 2.0 GHZ with 1.5GB ram and a 9800 pro..any suggestions as to how to speed it up a bit?

Also when the emu is running there is an 'Options' in the menus but I cant get it to open, anyone know what it is or how to access it.

Manual Transmission works with having each of the 4 gears mapped to a seperate button. There's no option to have a paddle style gear up/gear down system that I can see (don't think any version of the arcade game worked this way so it wouldn't be in an emulated version).

A bit concerned that people are saying they are playing Virtua Cop flawlessly as when I try run it it is really s~l~o~w. Daytona seems to run fine so I'm not sure why this is giving me trouble.

Sweet as - this has to get fired up

Can anyone confirm the ideal system for this? What processor, gfx card and wheel make it playable?

Now that's very interesting, as I have a similar problem with an ATI card on my laptop, but that's only with Windows XP. Using Vista, it's smooth as you like.

Your spec should run it fine.

thanks for the reply mate, if it isn;t my spec then at least it's something I can work on.
I translated some posts on the nebula forums and made some changes they recommended for ATI cards but it didn't make any difference but I've taken the shuttle to work so I can play with it during the day to see if I can sort it. If I have any luck I'll post here.
