I love R-Type too much so it has to be R-9. I get excited just looking at the pic from Oh Mutants...

Honourable mentions to the ships (don't know names) in arcade Moon Cresta and PC Engine Side Arms and Tiger Heli. Oh, and any of the Saturn Souky ships...

Favourite ship for me would be the pulstar or rtype ships, or maybe a few from Project X on amiga.
