What is the rarest PAL SNES game ever ?!!!?

As there is a thread about the rarest Pal megadrive game I thought I'd start one about the rarest Pal SNES game !

I think the following are some of the rarest PAL games
(and I mean boxed mint complete!) :-

    STREET FIGHTER ALPHA 2
    FINAL FIGHT 2
    FINAL FIGHT 3
    FATAL FURY SPECIAL
    DARIUS TWIN
    KING OF DRAGONS
    KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND
    SUPER BC KID
    RANMA 1/2

Anyone esle got any ideas ?

I'm no expert when it comes to the SNES, but I'd imagine it's the late-release games that were only sold in certain parts of Europe that are the toughest to find...

Soul Blazer had a PAL release I believe. Only ever seen 1 or 2 copies (going for silly money).

Breat of Fire II and Lufia are damn hard to find on PAL unless you have stupid amounts of money.

Hmmm... you're definitely wrong, rarest pal games are:

          - Whirlo (SPAIN ONLY)
          - Cool World (SPAIN ONLY)
          - Soul Blazer (English Swedish Version)
          - Aero the Acrobat 2
          - Zelda Gold Pack (BIG BOX WITH GUIDE)

                Starwing Competition Cart.
                Alltho I have two.

Alltho, I dunno if it counts, since its not a retail release.

Whirlo, was also released in Ireland, that all the really rare ones. I think a few other games are rarer than Aero the Acrobat 2.

There was a special box set for Batman forever that came with the SNES game, along with a video of the film and some other stuff.

Desert Fight also has a special sleeve for some releases.

Aliens vs Predator, is quite tricky to get hold of as well, as its Australia only. Lethal Enforces with the gun isn't that common either or the Small Metroid Box. Super Chase HQ & Sonic Blast Man can also be tough to get hold of.

A lot of PAL games only got released in one country.

On the whole collecting a full PAL set is a nightmare, we don't even know if all releases have been recorded yet! I?m going for one but it will take me years to finish it.

Released as an Ireland/English release? Can you show us a pic?

                    Regards!

Well, these three are the main confirmed contenders. I can tell you, it was painful getting a complete copy of Soul Blazer.

People make a fuss about Cool World but tbh I'm not so sure. I've had too many opportunities and not near enough trouble tracking copies down. It's rare as hell, but not quite on par with the other two.

Aero and the Zelda gold pack, while rare, aren't really killers to get with a little patience.

Yeah, seen it knocking around. It was a WHSmith exclusive as far as I recall, so really only availible to kids with strange ideas of where to buy games

Is this going to cover packaging variants?, because if so that's opening a whole can of worms that tbh isn't work getting into for the euro market.

Yes, tricky, but not a real pain, more an inconvenient title to get your hands on because of all those damn aussies who don't post overseas.

Small Metroid is a pain and most are aussie. The others are just plain old rare, rather than top of the line collection breakers. Now, the lethal enforcers stand alone pink justifer complete in packaging.. that one can be a headache.

                      Yup.. bloody NOE.

Really, what kind of batsh!t loco company releases the only english language version of a game, in a country which isn't native english speaking and with a multiligual manual which contains no bloody english

A few other notable games on the PAL SNES run would be Beethoven, Knights of the Round and the english pal version of Bubble Bobble.

Oh and for comic book fans - The Death and Return of Superman and Spiderman (based on the animated series). Though both are also exceptionally bad.

Not killer rare, but toughies nontheless.

                      Hammer. Nail. Head.

If you're going for packaging variants too, then you're in for a painful ride

Yeah, the Starwing Competition cart variants are pretty high up, but in terms of rarity, they're still below the real killers mentioned so far. Plus, not retail releases.

Awesome to have though and a real essential for any gamer, collectathon or rarity nut collection. They're just damn fun, especially to show off and play with your mates.

Can someone confirm if "Prisoners of The Sun" (the second SNES Tintin game) got a UK release or was it France/Belgium only?
