Dreamcast Reset (groan)

Yup. As the title suggests after almost three years of loyal service my dreamcast has decided to start resetting itself. I have had a wee search using the forum for old threads, as I know they exist, but the links for fixing instructions had expired. Anyone have any that still work that I could see.

.....and it seems to have worked . Couldn't play it for over 2 mins last night without a reset, and now I just gave soul calibur a good blast and no problems at all. Thanks for that Dan.

My Dreamcast used to sometimes do this. It was normally solved by the old tactic of hitting it. Which is not good but seemed to mostly work. I had one strange encounter when it wouldn't recognise any discs except Sega Rally 2 as well, which i kindof tried to use as a boot disc. I think its better now though... I might have to save that link to solve it properly in case in mucks up again...

I would highly reccomend the method in that link. I'm crap with anything technical and even I got it to work!

I was going to jump in with that link until Danny sorted you out! To date along with the similar mod for the NES cart slot and replacing the power board thingy on my Jp DC to a PAL one this is the only console mod my pig**** thick self has been able to accomplish. My DC is a Jp launch model and still works a proper treat to this day.
