Quite a packed show this time round featuring The Tower and Yellow Brick Road (****e of the Show) for the Sega Saturn as well as the code to play as Ginger in the Clockwork Knight double pack, again. Also featured in this show are Double Axel and Cop 01 arcade games as well as Runark and Shui Hu: Feng Yun Zhuan for the Mega Drive.

Good vid, arcade version of Runark/Growl is pretty cool, can be played 4 player I think!

yeah, the arcade version is good. It has loads of speach as well from what I remember.

Shui Hu: Feng Yun Zhuan for the Mega Drive looks to me like it also steals a lot of assets from Knights of the round by capcom as well. I like the fact you did the clockwork knight cheat again to prove a point. For what it's worth that cheat does not seem to be on most of the cheat sites that may be the reason people say it's fake. Even wikipedia lists the clockwork knight games wrong so most of the information about that game on the net is not right. A lot of people confuse clorkwork knight 2 with 1&2 as that never got a PAL release.

Yeah, What pissed me off is that some guy wrote me a mail sounding as if he knew it all and said I wasted his time because he had to get out his Saturn and boot it up. boohoo. So that re-showing of the cheat in action was just a pure dig at him and the other people who said I was full of ****.

I don't know how they could mistake the game though since Clockwork knight 1 and 2 don't feature that box screen at all. You are right, that code doesn't seem to appear on any English games site. I got it from a very old Japanese Saturn mag called Saturn Super.

For what it's worth I tried it myself and it worked it worth pointing out that ginger does not appear on the map screen or the level's riding the horse. He is replaced by the normal knight. I think there may be a lot of saturn codes and secrets that the west don't know about. Choro Q park I could never unlocked a number of the cars no matter what I did would like to know how I unlock them as I loved that game on the saturn.

i could point that out but I couldn't be arsed. Anyone who does put in the effort not to start the level doesn't deserve a cool unknown cheat

Hmm, I'll have a look through some old Saturn mags to see if there's anything on Choro Q. It's just a shame that the Japanese are pretty pathetic when it comes to making home pages of interest most of the time. If they weren't so worried about treading on toes there could be so much cool stuff but alas there's not.

Volume 10 of Retro Core 3 is out now! See it on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fD762pqHAM Or the official Retro Core site - http://www.segagagadomain.com/RetroCorepage-main.htm

On this week's show there's A.B.Cop for the arcade, D-Force for the Super Famicom, Ghostbusters on the Mega Drive and Bosconian for the Sharp X68000. I also take a look at how arcade conversions looked in the 16bit days. These days arcade perfect conversions are common place but back in the past it was a whole different story. In this new feature this week I look at Denjin Makai (arcade) and Ghost Chaser (Super Famicom) both pretty uncommon games and both the same game despite their different names.

More classic arcade comparisons in Retro Core 3 Volume 11 with Arcade Hellfire and Mega Drive Hellfire. Which version is best? The arcade original or the Mega Drive port? Also there is Haunted Castle arcade game, a look at all the Ranma 1/2 fighting games for the Super Famicom, Jakie Chan's God awful arcade fighting game and Maou Renjishi better known as Mystical Fighter on the Mega Drive.

While Retro Core 3 Vol:12 is lacking in game contents this show I do make up for it by taking a close up look at the Super Famicom Box and i don't mean the card box that a Super Famicom comes in. ****e of the show is a true classic in the form of Fist of the North Star 6 on the Super Famicom plus I take a look at the not so great Atari batman arcade game, DJ Boy for the Arcade and Mega Drive and finally a look at Bloody Wolf for the PC Engine.

Good video, those FOTNS fighters were so bad it's untrue, dunno why the Megadrive scroller game always had a bad rep, it's simple but has charm imo.

Retro Core 3 Volume 13 is out now at the official site and YouTube

It's that time again for another all new Retro Core. In volume 13 I take a look at Batman for the Mega Drive, Jiko Oshaberi Parodious, Saturn and Chelnov (Atomic Runner), an unreleased game for the Saturn and Action Pachio for the SFC (****e of the Show). Art of Fighting or Ryu No Ken for those who like the Japanese name is featured as the comparison game. This time I take a look at the original Neo Geo version VS the Mega Drive and Super Famicom versions. This volumes arcade action come from the King of pop, Michael Jackson in his Moonwalker game by Sega.
