Please Help! SNES Mickey's Magical Quest fault!

I need help re: Mickey's Magical Quest

I have tried several copies of this game (inc a jap and US one) but I am having the same problem - When you get to the end of the forest level (level 3 I think) there should be a giant spider boss (I remember as I had this game when first released and completed it many times) but the boss is now invisible!!!!! Making it impossible to get past grrrrr!
This must be a problem with the game being old or something ?! All other bosses show up fine so I just cant understand it and it's pissing me off!

Please someone help! Is there anyway to fix this?

I have just been watching this vid review and they seem to have had the sameproblem with the boss not showing up! So they had to use the GBA version to show it !!!

    Check it out -

Anyone who has this game please go and play it and see if this happens in your version please, Thanks

I love this game, one of my favourite platforms, so I have no problem going though it again.

As you can see there's the Spider!

I don't think I've ever had the problem with all the times I have played this game.

Maybe try cleaning the connector pins on the cart. Dirty pins can cause glitches like this in Famicom / NES games so it could be the same thing with this.

Like I said I have tried many copies and I always clean my games with the official nintendo cleaning wand ! lol
The only other thing I can think is that I am playing it on a modded SNES MINI with RGB cable, Could this in any way be to blame? I think I will also try on an unmodded pal SNES.

The fact that gametrailers.com had the same glitch is what I find strange.

If I still have no joy, anyone want to sell me acopy that works ? lol

Some PAL games do get glitches and graphical weirdness if run at 60hz but if you turn the mod off (assuming yours is switched) it shouldn't make any difference.

I've had three copies of this game and all play fine! 1 PAL & 2 US but I only play on unmodded machines.

I have now tried the game on a PAL SNES and the Spider boss showed up! lol
So I was able to complete this excellent little game for the first time in many years

The PAL SNES also has a swith for 60hz but this still did not affect the game like the US SNES mini did ! strange or what?

                Thanks for your comments peeps.

As you put it, it was definately the 60hz mod causing trouble...
Mario Allstars also suffers badly on a 60hz modded PAL system!

Yes but the UK PAL SNES was also modded with 60hz swith and I tried it in 60hz on that and there was no problem ! So it was only the US SNES mini that was the problem -
                      Strange one that.

I know mario allstars suffers badly in 60hz so I have US copy to avoid this
