Neo Power PC-Engin (PCE flash cart)

    This one, basically: http://www.ic2005.com/shop/product.php?productid=26 . There's also a 128Mb version available.

Has anyone got one of these? Or used this seller before?

Seems like a good idea to me, though a bit on the expensive side ($109 for the 64Mb version, $149 for the 128Mb one). I've got a sizeable collection of PCE games myself, mostly shooters, but this kind of thing is always useful for try-before-you-buy.

    Any opinions?

I own the 64M one and i highly recommend it!
There are so many PCE games beyond our reach that this lets us access them

One end of the cart is PCE shaped and the other is GBA shaped. It uses a Neoflash GBA Writer if i remember correctly, with its own software.
I did try the GBA end in my GBA however nothing happened!

There is a button on the cart which you can press to bring you back to the Menu to choose your game. Very handy!

I think ive managed to fit about 10 games on my 64M one so the 128M will allow lots (Unless you put Street Fighter II on!)

    Gets my thumbs up!

Why are the storage sizes so limited? Flash memory costs bugger all these days, you can get an 8GB SD card for under a tenner, so 128MB seems a bit crap to me, especially for that kind of money.

I know - it seems far from the ideal solution, but it appears to be the only thing out there at the moment. The R4 solution (pass-through + micro SD) is a stroke of genius; it's a pity there's nothing similar on offer for the PCE.

That said, apart from Street Fighter which takes up around 22Mb, it's not a bad size: 10 games is a big enough number for my needs.

@Cauterize: thanks for the recommendation. I'll definitely pick one up; but I'll be waiting for the price to drop a bit first, I think...

Just noticed that Coryoon - one of the games I would stick on this card (I've been after it for ages) - recently sold on ebay for £82! It's a nice enough shooter, but that's just a daft price...
