    Super Bomberman 2 Gold Cartridge?

Anyone know much about the Gold Cartridge edition of this game, I believe it called something like carnival edition. So far google and wiki have given me nothing on this.

Anyone know if the game is any different to the normal edition of super bomberman 2, as I know the gold cart for SB5 included bonus map.s

Also was it release boxed or cart only?

    Cheers

I have never heard of any gold cart editions - do you know what region release it was?

    I also found this:

    Rare And Collectible Titles
There are quite a few rare and collectible games for the Super Famicom as there were many limited edition gold carts released for the system, one of the most valuable being Kunio-kun no Dodge Ball Zenin Shuugou Tournament Special Gold Cart with a retail price of close to $6,000.
    Metal Slader Glory Director's Cut
    Gourmet Sentai Bara Yarou
Kunio-kun no Dodge Ball Zenin Shuugou Tournament Special - Gold Version
    Super Bomberman - Gold Version
Yoshi's Cookie - Kuruppon Oven de Cookie
    Chrono Trigger Taiken-ban
Fire Emblem Thracia 776 Box Set
    Motoko-chan no Wonder Kitchen

SB instead of SB2 I know.
    I'll keep looking; quite interesting!

Or you could buy a gold cart SB5
Super Bomberman 5 (Gold Cartridge) for Super Famicom / SNESThis is a used item. If not otherwise mentioned below, spine card is included for titles that originally came with spine cards.

Edit: Would this be it by chance?? http://www.xgd.com/id/22976

Wonder Kitchen is not that hard to get hold of - they can be found in quite a few shops in Tokyo, for about 5000 yen each.

Nakano Broadway also has a cart with Yam Yam on it - looks like another Gold Cart special one.

Well, it is defo. called Super Bomberman 2: Carnival Edition.
        It was a Jap release.
I expect it was boxed with manuals etc.
I can't find a pic - perhaps someone has a complete Super Fami. collection and would like to pull their copy out!

          Thanks for that teenagewasteland.

Yeah would like to know if it is boxed or not as I know that Super Bomberman 5 Gold cartridge was cart only as it came with a magazine.

It is from Hudson Caravan event, but is just called Super Bomberman 2 Taikenban, it hasn't got a box or anything.

I think you can buy it for about 20,000 yen in Japan, it's not very much when compared to other gold cassettes and even special games like Yoshi no Cookie: Kuruppon Oven de Cookie or From TV Animation Slam Dunk Shueisha Limited.

Cheers Juste that's what I wanted to know. Out of interest is the game any different to the normal release.

Yes, I think so. I think you can only play four stages because of being a trial version, and at beginning I think you get a screen with a Koro Koro Comic and Game-ON! logo on it.

I picked up, the gold cartridge of 5 a little while back now and a friendly import should hopefully be getting in a copy of the second one in soon. They were both on yahoo auctions japan when I check, a couple of months back and quite a bit cheaper to buy than the ebay price.

The SB5GC, has a couple of bonus battle mode maps not found in the normal edition game.

So it's well worth the pickup.
