I'll add another positive shout-out for the Pandemonium games. They are still very nice to play. I put them through my PC emulator(with filters)... and they looked great.

A really nice PS1 2D game is 'Skullmonkeys'



Easy to play, full of fun, it's a magical experience.

Skullmonkeys is pure gold. Its tough, challenging and fun at the same time.
One of the better PS1 games.
