Driller on the C64. Anyone remember that?
Also Gunship.
So, both these games I played religiously for months. Gunship because it was really good and Driller because hey, it was like Super 3D man.
Now Gunship crawled along just fast enough to work as an action title. But Driller..... What the hell was that about eh? There was a little display bar which showed you how long to go before it rendered the next frame.
Looking back, I wish I'd just ignored it and played something er... well... playable.
Any tales of hopeless speeds in old games?
Perfect Dark springs to mind
