Ha I didn't even notice that, haven't seen Escape from New York for about 15yrs at least so can barely remember any of it, but kept thinking snake looked just like Kurt Russell in MGS3.

Also Mike Haggars got to be based on Jesse Ventura, as their both former wrestlers and mayors.

Yep, he obviously influenced the creation of Haggar. Japanese designers have always liked to pay homage to people they like.
