Playing Darius Gaiden (JAP) for PS1 on PS3 No sound

As title i've tried everything and can't get it working with sound, tried on my ps2 no problems, anyone know if it's possible to get it working or if it's a known problem.

I think Darius Gaiden was one of those games that didn't work correctly with the PS3, I remember when it went up for download on the JPN PSN store it was down as PSP only then a few weeks later I recall them fixing it as it was then down as PS3/PSP compatible.

I take it you've got the latest firmware installed, other than that it must have issues with the disc version of the game.

I prefer the version on Taito Legends 2 as it actually saves high scores which neither the saturn or ps1 version does.

I think that was G-Darius but thanks anyway, probably something similar (but the sound is great so can't play without it), apart from the sound it works perfectly. Are there any sites which list compatibility with games on ps3?

According to the official JPN BC database here, theres no known issues with the game

Why play Darius Gaiden on the PlayStation anyway? It's a God awful port by Interbec (bec). The only way to enjoy Darius Gaiden is on the Saturn since it's arcade perfect. Now G-Darius on the PlayStation is worth playing.
