    Tips on ebay

Hi, thinking about selling my famicom mini collection, and thought ebay would be the best place to sell it as i had no intrest here. However ive never sold anything on ebay ever, so would it be wise to jump right in with such a high value items? If i go ahead do any of you experinced ebayers have any advice or tips? Id really appriciate any advice in general or more specificly on the praticalitys of listings/fees/pricing etc etc
    Thanks in advance.

Best thing is to research what you are selling. Look at how other sellers are wording their items and see what sort of price they are looking for. Also search listings that have ended to see what the realistic price they go for.
As the Fami Mini's are quite a niche item i'd go for a Buy it Now option rather than auction.

I always word my auctions like:-

Hello and welcome to my auction. This auction is for X

Then i add a little description of the game - Famicom Mini, very collectable etc.

Then i have a line describing the condition of the item. Boxed - complete - like new etc

Then i would assure potential buyers that the games will be packed carefully as the fami mini boxes are nice and would be a shame to send them in a jiffy bag to end up squashed.

if you've got a mate close by who has a decent feedback level you will get more money for them if you let him sell them

people will trust somebody with loads of feedback more over a brand new member with high end items with zero feedback

Hi Dan, bit of speculation. But I would think that all 3 together should average the price to more, its the perfect opportunity for a perspective buyer to get the whole set.

Regarding ebay fees, the higher the start price, the more your listing fee is. If you put a reserve on it, you pay for that too mate. However, love or loathe the bay...or somewhere inbetween! it will give it a good chance of selling.

I would advise you to also make it absolutely clear that they're genuine items. Pirated GBA still seems to be rife on eBay.
It's possible you'll get bugger all bids, I gave up after a few attempts to sell GBA games on there because I was priced out of the market by HKers selling knock-offs to people who don't care what they get as long as it shuts the kids up.
