Something of a contradiction then non?

    Is this a massive-joke-thread-that's-really-a-sales-thread-but-not-in-sales too?
    Kept you waiting, huh?

The system packed away it's not out under the TV , and if I did sell it I wouldn't be buying another one Not with the old X-Box emu there's simply no need. I've had enough of wires and joypads all over the shop .

I have the most awesome MVS setup imaginable yet I still miss my AES collection. The games are the same so its hard to say why but I think its because AES feels like the console of the gods.

They aren't even comparable though, The original Xbox has such lousy video out for starters.

There definately IS something about the machine, I still remember gauping at it in the Complete Guide to Consoles mags back in the 90's. Felt so very special when you finally owned it.

Spot on Kron..there is defo something about the machine.I always wanted one when it came out,but it was far too expensive for me at the time.So when i finally got one it was like a dream come tue.

Some games are stupidely expensive but every system has games that are well overpriced. There never going to lose their value(you will get your money back when you sell).

I have mvs games as well,so am not a complete Homecart fanatic.

Ok, i've been offered a 40xxx serial number jap machine for £280, fully boxed, absolutely mint with excellent video output for £280. He's said if i'm not 100% satisfied he'll give me a full refund. Bit more than i paid for any other AES i've owned, but it's so hard to find a good one now i think i'm going to have it.

Same here, although those darned Emulators that surfaced during the later 90's might've spoiled me somewhat. Its also kind of sad that SNK is whoring out those classic packs with their whole AES library on it.

But there are really enough cheapo carts to get. The games like Blazing Star are expensive but in all honesty I can't really see whats so great about it. I managed to pick up Aero Fighters 2 for about 50 and thats a fine vert. Even Alpha Mission 2 is kind of fun. Other legendary games like FF Special, SS2, Magician Lord will set you back for like 10 a piece? Even if you go somewhat further, towards the likes of RBS, LB1 or KOF99... those are not really expensive either.

MVS I couldn't really get into, I miss them boxes, manuals and cartridge artwork on those ones. Its solely about playing.

X-Box is now my MS, Snes , Neo Geo
What are you using the run the N64 games as the emus on Xbox are all lame??

And I feel the same about the Wondermega , no screen shot can ever do justice to what its like to own one and see it in operation with ones own eye's , I know where people are coming from , I even love the green and red lights on and the whole Model 1 Mega CD and MD set up .
But now I don't have the room or really care about looking at the consoles , they're all packed away safe and sound
I pretty much go emu with all my old consoles now and run them off the X-Box , bar having the Multi Mega set up for my Lunar saves ECT

I also have a Wii and that runs most of the N64 games I care about (namely Star Fox 64 ) failing that I also run them on my PC.
Given the rubbish output of the N64 , its almost a must to play them in Emu

I only dealt with VGI once, I bought a KOF98 for ?110, and it arrived with a broken snaplock, I phoned 'lee' and berated him on the phone. Admittedly he said I could send it back for a refund, or wait until they got a spare snaplock in, but I'd sold it on by the time they contacted me about the spare anyway.

                                Screw VGI!
