Problem with Mame

Hi,

hope this belongs here. I reinstalled Mame (newer version than my older one), this is 0.95. When I try and got to advanced settings to enable joystick support the option is greyed out.

This happened once on my friends Vista machine and the workaround was to run as administrator. However I am running it on my XP machine and don't know what to do. When I go to run as admin it asks for a password.

Any help would be much appreciated, I really need to play Shadow Dancer.

Probably stating the obvious but you're running as the admin on the XP machine? Might have to mess about with the user account settings.

Maybe try downloading Mame32 and see if that works?

Just in passing, anyone else who has a similar problem of pads not working on emulators, plug your pad in before you start the emulator.

Well, I had plugged the pad in, just hadn't installed the right drivers :P
